Am using Internet Explorer 6. All I want to do is capture certain web pages
(one at a time, like a single web page I'm viewing that has interesting
information on it).

I don't want folders (with images in them)...just a one-file snapshot that
preserves the formatting but that isn't linked to the website, i.e. it
doesn't go away if the source website is ever taken down, or the DSL link is
off.

Could someone offer suggestions on the differences in the "File > Save As >
[type: -Web page complete, archive (mht), Web page HTML, text.

-Web Page Complete __________________________

-Web archive ______________________________
(Note- This works for me most of time, but sometimes I get some sloppy html
characters mixed in, any suggestons?)

-Web Page HTML ________________________

-Text. Skip, this one's obvious.

Thanks,
George

See if url2bmp does what you want. It creates a graphic bmp file of
the whole web site. Links are not active, so you would have to
capture each page you wanted to view off line.
