You mean you want a watermark in your presentation?
Put a textbox on the slidemaster (View - master - slidemaster), format the
text in a light grey. Placed on the master it will appear behind all things
on your slides.
Alternative, make your textbox, copy it, paste it back with paste special as
a picture.
Now choose Format picture - picture tab - colour list - choose wash - OK.
Of course you can align it and rotate if necessary.
