I have accidentally removed 'permanently' a startup program by accident using
MS Antispyware.

Is there a way of undoing that?

With thanx,

Try using "Syster restore" and restore to an earlier time prior to your
problem.

If System Restore isnt available then one option is If you can find the
executable that runs the file (The .exe file you double click to run the
program) then right click and choose 'copy' then goto the startup folder and
paste it into there.

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

when you open the Startup folder right click an empty space and choose
'paste', you will then get another alert from Microsoft Antispyware showing a
new Start up Program, choose Allow and it will then start with Windows.

If you let us know the program and what Version of Windows you are using
then its quite easy to add the entry back into the registry in the correct
location as the start up menu will load the program but its not going to
replace the entry you removed by mistake.

Hey Tony

Norton GoBack uses the Global Startup so it runs for all users, Delete the
shortcut in your profiles Start Up folder if you made one after my last post.
Thats this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your UserName\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Next Goto Start Menu > C:\Drive > Program Files > Norton GoBack >

Open the GoBack Folder and then right click 'GBTray.exe' and choose 'Copy'

Open the All Users Start Up folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Inside the StartUp folder right click an empty space and choose 'Paste'

You may get another alert from Microsoft Antispyware about the start up
entry but if you had already allowed it to be added to Your Profiles Startup,
Microsoft Antispyware might display a Green pop up showing the change has
been allowed based on the previous decision. If its the Blue Alert then allow
the change and then it will start with Windows.

Regards

Andy
