We are operating a small computer lab (about 20 computers
plus a 2000 server). We recently upgraded the computers
to XP Pro from 98 and I am having a problem configuring
the network printers (attached to the server) so that
they are available to every domain user who logs into any
lab computer. Users may log into non-lab computers on the
domain and I don't want them to see the printers when
they are not in the lab (one server for the lab and the
rest of the network) so I need some way to propagate the
printers to the computers, not to the users (so profiles
would be out). If I install the printers on each computer
as administrator (local or network) they are not seen by
a user when they log on. Users will routinely be on
different computers on the lab and they each have their
own account.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I
have read over 3 dozen KB articles and tried almost every
solution suggested to no avail.
Thanks
