Permanent balloon

I have balloon tip tip that has become a permament fixture on my desktop & I
can't get rid of it. Nothing happens when I click or right click it. It is
associated with Pinnacle instant DVD writer. Can anyone give me a tip on
getting rid of it? Thanks, Gene
 
Go to MVP Kellys website at the following link. Go to Line 11, left side, "Enable/Disable Balloon Tips or Disable All"
Click the Enable/Disable link to download the registry file. Double click the downloaded file and confirm the registry merge. This will allow you to first disable the popup balloon and then enable it, if you wish.

Thanks for the replies. I tried The link on kellys website & it has no
effect on this bugger. It's just there & it contains " Instant write Please
drag & drop your files here to burn" I don't think it has anything to with
the program anymore but over time it quit responding & now it is just there.

You might want to try deleting the program in Add and Remove followed by a reinstall.

I went to Kellys website & downloaded the registry file again (3rd or 4th
time) and then shut the computer off for a storm. When I restarted it the
nasty little balloon is gone. I've had it for weeks so that must be what
fixed it. Thank You.
 
Glad this sorted the problem. Sometimes you have to beat these bugs into submission. :)
