I needed a new Scanner [Vista] read all about this one> here so went to Pcworld  to see the scanner in the flesh so to speak. Nice I thought I would get one:nod: . In store price £69.99 chatting to a sales rep: and asked if Pcworld did a price promise yes he said so he did a check and guess what I had it from Pcworld as they matched this price and with an extra £2.00 discount [same company as Pcworld]. I am one happy chappy…..:D

The moral of the story ASK you have nothing to loose and everything to gain?:thumb:

itsme it's always worth haggling on a price.:thumb:
PCWorld wanted your business & got the sale.

I bought an Epson DX4800 from Staples last year & was told in-store to take out a staples business card.
Ended up getting 20% off on the printer.:D

Nice work Itsme :thumb: £70 > £46 is a very good discount :D

Is the business card like a store credit card, or does it just give a discount without providing a credit facility? There's a staples 3 mins walk from me, so I go there quite a bit for stationary and ink

No all I did was go in done what I said no questions asked treated like a normal customer he put the sites that they could price match Tesco>comet>pixmania> etc and matched the cheaper one AND extra discount. Paid cash and as it is 1/4 mile from my house any problem would be resolved pronto:D when I order on the net waiting is a pain sometimes and I saved postage
