My case's part where all the peripherals are connected in the back
(COM's,LTP's,USB's etc.) doesn't match my mo-bo design,so there's a small
metal plate that came with the mo-bo in a box.So I removed the case's part
and put the new plate instead. It fits, but there's no way to make sure it
stays.I guess when I install the mo-bo it would somewhat hold it in place.
Is that a normal thing?

Alon:
Yes, it's perfectly normal. Presumably all input/output plates have
standardized dimensions that fit ATX cases. Some just fit better than
others.

If you look at it more closely, I expect that you will find that it "clicks"
into place. Thay can require quite a lot of force to "click" them into
place, and you have to be careful to "brace" the surrounding case metal, so
as not to bend it out of shape !

.....if I'm on the right track there !!! :-)
