I'm having problems with my laptop. It seems as if any time I try to type
anything, there is a period between every letter. I keep having to use the
backspace key to delete it. It's very annoying. I can't search online because
even if I don't touch the period key, it seems to just get stuck and the
periods go on forever. Restarting the computer doesn't work.

Help!

I'd have to ask, "Why?" Granted, one should always have cuurent virus
definition files and perform period scans, but I've seen no reports of a
new "Period" virus. So why attribute what is almost certainly a simple
hardware (and/or associated device driver) issue to a virus?
