Anti-spyware drastically inreases the time when opening
files locally or over the network. This isn't just twice
as long but in the order of 4-5x longer than normal.
As soon as it is shutdown (Anti-spyware) everything is
instant.

Will this beta software be improved to negate this delay?
 
Hopefully there will be changes in performance and better support in network
environments in beta 2. Although Microsoft has promised to release a
targetted version for such environments.
