I have noticed that recently the perfomance speed of my
computer has not been up to scratch. I have scanned my
computer for virus' to see if that is what is slowing it
down but that does not seem to be the case. I have a
firewall enabled so it could not be a hacker. I have 18G
hard drive and i have 8G left, is there anyway that i
could speed up my computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried to defrag your drive yet? If not, then you
might try this if you have XP:

Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, system tools, Disk
defrag.
Reboot and check it again.

It also may have to do with the amount of memory you have
on the box too and the programs you are running. If you
have dial-up, check with the ISP too.

I would reccomend that you pick up the october issue of Pc
World it comes with a cd that has 100+ fix-it tips For a
variety of issues including Performance boosts. I'm sure
you can order a back issue or you can get it at there web
site: HTTP:\\www.pcworld.com\

Hope this helps!
