Some KB articles refer to using Start/Control Panel/Performance &
Maintenance but my XP Pro machine doesn't have this option/path.
I can do Control Panel/ Admin Tools/Performance but it seems not to be the
same as above.

Help please
TIA

Hi Jack,

It's because you are using the classic folder view rather than the
WinXP-style folder view. If you click tools/folder options, on the general
tab switch the view to show common tasks.

Hi Jack, depending if you're using "Classic View" or "Category view" in the
control Panel you may or may not see "Performance and Maintenance section".
As you can't see this section it means you're in a "Classic View" mode.

To switch to "Category view":
1-Make sure you've set Control Pannel to display as a Link (TaksBar
properties, Customize on Start Menu and then select Advanced button)
2- Open control Pannel and click on "Switch to Category view" on the top of
the left blue column of the control Pannel.

Best Regards.
