Every now and then when I go on my form in the IDE the form goes blank
and the computer grinds away for 10 or 20 seconds and then everything
reaapears. What exactly is the computer doing and is there a way to
prevent this from happening

yeah go back to Vb6

sorry this dotnet crap is half-baked still

and yet; they sit there and work on selling us the next greatest
edition instead of fixing bugs

piece of shit company, MIcrosoft deserves to get it's ass kicked in
the open market

VS.NET 2005? Do you have SP1 installed?

The lockup could be due to a lack of memory as well ... the PC maybe
swapping data in or out of the swap file.

I have this problem as well, and I have 2GB of memory. It pretty much
happens whenever I bring up a form in design mode. I just figured it was an
opportunity for me to learn patience?

HOLY ****ING HELL WHO DO YOU THIKN THAT YOU ARE

YOU ADMIT THAT DOTNET IDE IS HALF BAKED?

GROW SOME BALLS, WUSSES; MS GAVE UP ON VB AND ONLY IF WE HAVE A
CONCERTED DEMONSTRATION OF OUTRAGE WILL WE GET ANYTHING DONE ABOUT IT

MY IDE VS 2005 PROFESSIONAL CRASHES TWO TIMES A DAY

DID SP1 HELP??

_NO_

FUK MS

No, I think what I said what my IDE hangs for a few seconds when I try to
open a form in design mode. I don't think it's ever crashed on me, and I'd
hardly throw the whole thing out just because it hangs every now and then.

if your hammer was broken would you go and get a different one?

I sure would

grow some balls babe

Robin

you should not accept mediocrity

not when they have $60bn in cash and spend all their precious money on
inventing Xbox and fighting the BluRay vs HDDVD war

TIME FOR MS TO FOCUS ON VB

DO IT NOW OR FIGHT ME FOREVER

sorry kid; maybe if you stayed ON TOPIC we could get something done.

I never experienced this kinda _CRAP_ in vb6.

WHY WOULD MS FORCE A SOLUTION DOWN OUR THROATS THAT CRASHES AND HANGS?

_BECAUSE_MS_DOES_NOT_GIVE_A_FUCK_

**** that mother ****ing company

move to PHP, or move back to VB6

Robin

WHY DO YOU SUPPORT A COMPANY THAT IS TOO BUSY MAKING XBOXES IN ORDER
TO TAKE VB SERIOUSLY?

AN IDE THAT HANGS AND CRASHES IS NOT -- I REPEAT-- _NOT_ ACCEPTABLE

a language that is TWICE AS VERBOSE, ONE QUARTER THE FUNCTIONALITY AND
PRONE TO FURTHER 'VISUAL FRED ACTIONS' is _NOT_ acceptable

grow some balls you kids need to stop sucking MS cock

I just think that the IDE runs like crap is because the language is
twice as verbose.

twice as much VB code = 4 times as slow during development; even if
the IDE was lightning fast; it would still be too slow because your
code is 4 times more complex.

I have not had these problems.

The only similar problems I had is it would take ages to complile a very
simple project sometimes, but deleting the \OBJ\ directory of a project
always fixes the strange problems (it will be recreated anyway)

You might be taken seriously if you didn't continually beclown
yourself.

Your posts need more cowbell. No, really. More cowbell would help.

for starters; I am not, nor have I ever posted as 'master programmer'
I perhaps sign on as some of those other people.. am I trying to being
DECIETFUL?

No. Google groups blocks my posts after about a dozen so of course I
need different user names.

Master Programmer is a god and he should be Sr Management at MSFT.

I've got too much backbone to ever go back to Microsoft.
