Hello,

we use a x86 amd CPU, like the K6 with win CE 4.2 and CompactFramework. Ist
works very slow on this.

then we start a test with FrameWork on a old P 133. The same program works
faster that with CompactFramework. (x8 - x20).

Why ist the CompactFrameWork so slow??

You're comparing apples and oranges.

Yes, thats right, but i can tell you the different between apples and
oranges.

You're comparing a small PDA with limited architecture to
a full-blown (albeit old) desktop computer. There's more
to performance than processor speed. Think architecture
(data transfer, etc..), for one thing.

You can compare two PCs or two PDAs, but not PC and PDA:
It doesn't make any sense.

This has been discussed before in this newsgroup, try a
search in Google Groups.

The different isn't so big.

PC
Pentium 133, 64MB RAM (66MHz), PCI (VGA), PCI (LAN) ........

CE
AMD SC520 (like a K6) 133, 64MB RAM, PCI LAN, NO Vga

But the OS architecture and the framework-compliant IL are not even close to
the same, so yuo cannot make any kind of valid comparison.
