I have always been a Diskeeper user, but PerfectDisk
is a good product, too.

PerfectDisk 8 support for Vista is here! After months of closely working with the Microsoft
Vista Certification Team, Raxco is once again pleased to be the first to market with another
breakthrough release. Read the press release here.
Never before have we seen so much anticipation and buzz surrounding a release of PerfectDisk.
Why? Mainly because Microsoft didn't change the file system, but with Vista, it is very clear
that the need for efficient defragmentation has become even more of a critical issue. More so
than with XP, Vista's built-in defragger has major limitations, including its use of a
multi-pass defrag engine and its very limited flexibility in scheduling when and how often it
runs. The comment that we received most often from our beta testers was that, unlike XP, the
free Vista free defragger's GUI no longer tells you how badly fragmented your drive actually
is. I guess the thought was that what you don't know, won't hurt you. In the case of Vista,
that couldn't be farther from the truth.
Thanks again for working with us and if you ever need anything, please let me know. If you have
any questions for technical support, contact them here.
