Hello All,
First of all happy new year.
I installed recently a server (DELL 2850) with Windows 2000 SP4, and
since the beginning I am affected by this bug
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196712/en-us, so I had to remove the
perfdisk.dll from the performance counters in the registry (as
described in the kb).
Now I would like to be able to monitor my disk, but when I enable again
the dll counter in the registry, It seems to corrupt all the other
counters.
One of the resolution proposed by a HP technician, is to create the
performance counters (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956/) but
before this, I have to register again the diskperf.dll; so I did a
"regsrv32.exe c:\winnt\system32\perfdisk.dll", then I received this
message:
C:\WINNT\System32\perfdisk.dll was loaded but the DllRegisterServer
entry point was not found. DllRegister may not be exported, or a
corrupted version of C:\WINNT\System32\perfdisk.dll may be in memory,
consider using Pview
My questions are :
1°) Is someone had the same problem with the perfdisk counters ? How
can I resolve this issue ?
2°) What could the cause of the problem with DllRegisterServer ?
Thanks to provide me any hints
Best Regards,
