Tina

Good morning,

I need to find a percent ranking per salesman. I tried to
use the percent rank function in excel (2000) but I'm
obviously doing something wrong.

Data as follows:
Salesperson 1 - 734
Salesperson 2 - 495
Salesperson 3 - 624
Salesperson 4 - 593
Total - 2446

Could anyone help? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
T

If you just need a percentage of the total, use =734/2446 =495/2446 etc.
and format as percentage.

Andy.

What do you get and what do you expect to get?

When I use the formula with your data, I get the following which appears to be
correct:

A B C
Salesperson 1 734 100%
Salesperson 2 495 0%
Salesperson 3 624 67%
Salesperson 4 593 33%
