per user resource for microsoft office to run in windows 2003 terminal server

Any1 here know what is the per user Cpu and mem resource for office 2k, office xp and office 2003 to be run in windows 2003 terminal server

Most users will be running words and excel, so it will be best if any1 here can break down the per user resource used by these 2 application

I don't think there is any magic number anyone can give you but I would plan on 15-30MB per-user, and the CPU Cycles used depends on the number of CPUs, their speed, cache size... If a dual-xeon server is outfitted with 4GB RAM (doing nothing else but running Terminal Server), allowing 2GB for user processes, comes out to about 67 users @30MB each. This is a ballpark figure, assuming no one person is running rogue processes that dominate the server's resources and that the server is setup properly. Some setups like this can accomidate more users & some less, it just depends on the working habits of your users and how well designed the setup is
