Per user display icons

Is it possible with any plugin that anyone knows of to make display icons
per user name? So that one user always sees one icon, and another on your
list sees another? The way MSN Plus lets you use different sign-on sounds
per user.

I haven't seen anything like this, and I'm don't even think the current Messenger protocol
would really allow it.
