Pentium 3 Katmai and SMP

Hi all,

I have the chance to buy a system with a dual processor MB, but only with
one processor installed, a P3 katmai 500Mhz.
I have a processor of the same kind, may I mount it on that system or P3 for
SMP are different from those for Uni-Processor?

Maybe.

There are two considerations.

1) Processor pairing. (Match all specs, including the one that starts
SLxxx)
2) (Possibly) You may need a voltage regulator to plug in to enbable
the second processor.
