In some HTML document files in the web folder list, a
pencil icon appears over the usual file icon. What does
it mean?

Normally indicates the file is open for editing in FP.

.

I pasted a word document on the page and saved it. The
page looks fine on the browser preview, but the pencil
icon on the file list does not go away. If the icon
means the file is open for editing, how do I close it?

It should go away once you have saved and closed the document.

Which version of FP are you running?

I'm running FP 2000,XP pro. All the pencil icons do
indeed go away when I save and close the program. When I
open the program I get one pencil icon on whatever file I
open the web to. That's a normal OK thing? Just ignore?
