peer to peer w/win2k

I am trying to set up lan p to p network.
system1
name "System1"
Desktop-win2kpro,workgroup"cjservsys"
fast ethernet w/crossover cable
(c:,Printer, internet conn) all set to share
local area connection:nwlinkipx/spx/netbios compatable
transport protocol and internet protocol(tcp/ip)
system 2
name "cjservmobile"
laptop-win2kpro, workgroup "cjservsys"
fast ethernet pc card w/adapter to crossover cable
(c:)set to share
local area connection:nwlinkipx/spx/netbios compatable
transport protocol and internet protocol(tcp/ip)

Same user and passwords on both systems
reciev same error message on both sys
"network location cannot be reached"
both lan icons show connected and packets sent
did i miss somthing??????????

The first question I always ask is if you can ping. if not, compare ipconfig
/all or post it here. or you can go to http://www.ChicagoTech.net
do-it-yourself tools to do the troubleshooting.
