3 units with router
(1)-Win2K Pro
(2)-XP Pro
(3)-XP Home
As with all my older units (1) & (2) are sharing okay.
(3) refuses to join
ping with 000.000.etc works with all
pind with name does not work with (1)&(2) toward (3)
using common user & pass
(1)&(2) show (3) name, but do no access
(3) only shows its own shares
I have rechecked & and changed settings repeatedly, can't see where I am wrong
Confused now
Any hint would be appreciated to get (3) to join
Thanks

Turn off your WinXP firewall during testing.
It would also be helpful if you quoted actual IP addresses
in your post instead of using your short-hand notation.

I have the IP range set to 6, (find IP automatially) the
client table of the router looks correct every time.

Firewall is off on all 3 units - No difference. Is a 15
minute wait important? I can see the new (3) unit listed
in the workgroup under Microsoft network, but get a
message: Network path not found.

You continue to write shorthand. We cannot tell you what's
wrong if you filter out all the essential details! How about
some long-hand stuff, e.g. the output from the following
command, from each of your PCs:

ipconfig /all > c:\ip.txt

Furthermore, I suggested that you should turn off your
WinXP firewall. Instead of doing this, you respond with
a cryptic remark about the client table of the router. Hmm.
