I am writing a tip for
http://www.ChicagoTech.net and that tip will be
published soon. I would appreciate it if you can post it back with the
result.
Automatic Reconnection Issue
By default, the Automatic Reconnection feature is turned on in Windows XP
Service Pack 1 (SP1). If it doesn't work, 1) make sure you have installed
SP1; 2) re-set the fDisableAutoReconnect. To do this
1.. Start Registry Editor, and then locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal
Services
2.. Add a new DWORD value that is named fDisableAutoReconnect to this
registry key.
3.. Set the fDisableAutoReconnect value data to either 1 or 0. A value of
1 means that Automatic Reconnection is turned off. A value of 0 means that
Automatic Reconnection is turned on.

I have a network with 5 PCs all running XP Pro. I have set up file
sharing on all PC's and have one that I use to store all my files. I can
access the file fine but after a few minutes of working and a document and
go to save it to a shared file I get an error saying "connection to drive
has not been restored" I have to wait about 10 minutes before it is
available again.
