PDL

I lost a PDL containing ~1200 names. I have old emails with that PDL that
I'd like to copy and paste into a new PDL. I can't figure out how to do it
without having to type in each name separately. Is there an easier way?
 
Thanks but that doesn't help me. My DL was a personal DL (in Contacts). It
had approximately 1200 names in it for a newsletter. when I got my new hard
drive - the contact list disappeared. I had to retrieve an old email with
the entire list of names - which i copy and paste into new emails. however,
I really need to copy and paste into a NEW Contact list - without having to
select each name from the Global Address List. Is this at all possible??!!

Only with the method I posted. Tell me why it doesn't help.
How did you manage to lose a DL by getting a new hard drive? You're running
against Exchange Server, right?

Hi Russ. I guess the reason it didn't work is b/c when I select
Members>members - it takes me to my Global Address Book. My old DL was under
my Personal Contacts list. So when I select Members, it's expecting me to be
able to pull it from a DL. The only place I currently have the list is on an
old email. Does this make any sense? I'm sorry for the confusion. I am
running against an Exchange Server - not sure if that helps or not.

Click the "Show Names from the" drop-down and select your PST's Contact
folder, if you've enabled it as an address book. If you haven't right-click
Contacts, choose Properties, select the Outlook Address Book tab, and check
the box that says "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book".
 
I don't see what the Select Members dialog has to do with it. You said in
your first post that you lost your DL and now only had the addresses listed
in an email. You were asking if there was a way to convert those email
addresses to a DL because they no longer resided in any folder, right? So
Select Members is not in play. The only method I've seen is the one I
posted.

Thanks Brian. I think I figured it out. My entire Contact list had
disappeared so I had to use old emails to copy the 1200+ names. One of the
below strings mentions going to add a new DL and selecting Members, and then
Members again. That's where I was hung up. I ended up copying and pasting
into that first Members block. Had to take a few at a time but was able to
do it. If you get a chance to voice a needed update for Outlook, my
suggestion would be to have the ability to open an email, highlight all the
names in either the To, CC, or BCC field, right click and create a DL.
