I tried creating a pdf file with Greek and English in side by side columns.
The English turned out perfectly but the Greek did not show up at all. What
should I do?

I have tried to download PDFedit995.com from their home site but the system
just times out after some 10 minutes. Is there anywhere else from where I
can download this file?

Thanks in advance.

You did not tell, which software you did use. Doing this with
OpenOffice.org 1.1 is no problem (I checked this right now).

Sorry, I'm new at this and did not realize it's important. My machine is
Windows XP. I created a side by side translation using Word 97 (part of
Office Pro. 97) and then printed it to a pdf using the pdf printer driver.
When I opened the new file with Acrobat Reader 5.0, the Eng column was
perfect while the Greek column was blank. Since then I have also noticed
that when creating Italian or French text and converting them to pdf, all
the accents disappear. Thanks for help[ing.

I have just tried to export a .doc file to a .pdf file with
OpenOffice 1.1.0. The initial .doc file contained typical french
characters which appeared to be properly output in the .pdf file.

Merci bien, Antoine. I have just retried exporting a doc file with a line
each of French, Italian, Portuguese and Greek. The first 3 lines are
perfect (incl. all accents) while the last line (Greek) is totally missing.
The font is the same (TNR) for all 4 except that the Greek line is TNR
Greek. I'm totally confused.

Maybe you are using improper software :-)
As Antoine wrote, OOo 1.1.0 http://www.openoffice.org does the job
perfectly. Try to import your file.

It does work, at least with mixed texts of Hebrew and English. I have
generated such pdf's through Open Office, as well as with 995 through
MSWord2000, other text editors and various browsers. My most recent
experience have been on Win2000. I suspect your problem has something to
do with fonts. In the setup of 995, there's a font type choice that might
be useful.
