When I open a PDF file from the internat it opens in an internet browser.
When I close the PDF window it crashes my whole internet connection. Can
anybody help with this problem.

Please define "crashes your own internet connection". Precise symptoms/error
messages please.

Hey Sandy,

I am having similar problem with FDF files. When I try to open a fdf content
file I get this message:

Name: mypdf.pdf
Title: File Download
Type: Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Doccument, 160kb
from localhost
Do you want to save this file?

" The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It
is either curropted or it has incorrect file type. As a security precuation
it is recommended that you cancel the download"

The file is on Tomcat server on my local mechine. It was working until last
week when I updated my windows and Acrobat professional. Dont know exactly
what was the windows update.

Since then I have tried everything I find on net. I am using
"Application/vnd.fdf" as my content type which does exist in the file types
but not in the MIME types in windows registry. I disabled MIME sniffing but
no use.

I really appriciate if you can help me, its pretty urgent.

Thanks in advance

Let me be more specific.

When I close the PDF file my Internet Explorer encounters a problem with
Add-on and needs to close.

It refers to:-

File pdf.ocx
Company name Adobe system
Description Adobe Acrobat for active x

The program refuses to respond and i have to END NOW the program.

My IE shuts completely at that point

Anybody help with this.

I have already the same problem:
when I view a pdf document in a browser: the document opens well, but when I
close the browser, IE crashes, with the following error signature:
AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: pdf.ocx
ModVer: 6.0.2.126
Offset: 0002f5db

I am using Adobe Reader 6.0.2
OS= Windows 2000
Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1

Thanks in advance for any help.Regards,

CPO
