When you import a PDF file you to your webpage, do you have to upload each
picture separately as well?

Thanks,

I'm not sure what you mean each picture seperately? Are these pictures in
the PDF file? If so then the PDF file contains the raw pictures and they'll
be displayed from within the PDF.

No
The PDF format embeds images. You can also create PDFs with embeded fonts
as well. This is what adobe invented PDF for, so your documents can look as
you intended them to look on other computers and to create a compact
document and printing standard for print companies

????

Images in PDF are embedded in the document.

PDF files are usually created by converting Word (or other applications
supporting the conversion process) files, which would contain your pictures.
The PDF format contains all the text images in one document, thereby giving
the name "portable document format".

MS Publisher is another application that you can use to convert *.pub to
PDF.

The conversion is done with Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional (there
are other products around to do the conversion), and you're effectively
"printing" to a file. The Adobe converter is listed in your printer list as
"Adobe PDF Writer" or "Adobe Distiller" (or similar).
