I am trying to insert images into a powerpoint presentation. Is it possible
to load PDF files into a PP presentation as a "file?" I want to be able to
click on a hyper link and the PDF file open in Adobe Acrobat, of course
assuming the user has Acrobat on their computer. Can anyone tell me how to
do this?

Or, another thought, I would love for the user to just be able to click on a
hyperlink to the website, where the PDF is stored. That does not seem to be
working when I copy and paste the web address into powerpoint. It brings me
to the "Website" but not the particular document that I am looking for. I
would love to do either of these things, or both. Which ever is the easiest
for me to do and explain to my coworkers.

I need this pretty quickly. If someone could get back to me that would be
great! Thanks so much.

Insert, Hyperlink and supply the path to the PDF you want to invoke. This
should work the same whether you supply the path to a local PDF file or to the
URL of one on the web.

If it's not working for you, you may be relying on Acrobat Reader 7. The
original release was broken and didn't work with PPT links. If so, let it
update itself to the latest version and you should be ok.
