Hello:
When rebooting the root server in our AD domain, getting to the
Desktop and a time when users can access resources, takes 20-30
minutes. Our root server (the first server that was created when our
2000 domain was established) is the Operations Master server for all 5
operations master roles. There are 35 other DCs in the domain
connected in a Frame-Relay WAN.
I've tried configuring the server to use itself as the Preferred DNS
server and to use another DC as the Preferred, but in both cases, the
boot-up times are the same....very long.
Could someone shed some light on the cause?
Thanks in advance,
Drew McCurdy
