PCT 1.0 Security in Win2000?

I am unable to access certain websites, for example I cannot log into EBay. I
have all current Windows updates, and refreshing the page has no effect. I'm
not sure if this is my problem, but on Control Panel > Internet Options >
Advanced, there is no check-box for PCT 1.0. For the record I am a pretty
advanced computer user, so of course my problem is likely something so simple
that I have overlooked it. LOL! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

What exactly happens and what error messages if any appear? Are these all
secure/https websites? If so the first thing to check is that the date and
time for your computer is correct [including year] and clear your temporary
internet files. --- Steve

Thanks for responding Steve. The issue is with IIS, I discovered, as it is
not installed by default in Windows 2000 Professional. I cannot install IIS
from the Add/Remove Windows Components on Control Panel, since like most
people I do not have a CD for the current SP4 installed on this computer. I
am told i can extract the SP4 .exe file and then direct the Add/Remove
Windows Components to that folder for the files it cannot find, however I
cannot find a .exe file related to SP4 on this computer in order to extract
it. If there is a simple solution I will certainly apply it, however this is
not my computer and I am not being paid for tech support on it, so it's not a
high priority to me ... I have Windows XP Pro on my machine, and none of
these problems!

What do you mean the issue is with IIS?? IIS is a website server for those
that want to host a website on their computer and should not be related to a
users browsing experience with Internet Explorer. Is the problem with just
secure websites that show https: in the IE address bar? --- Steve
