I had ME installed and now i installed 2000 but my PCMCIA
controller is no longer there. I reinstalled 98 and it
came back. Re-installed 2000 again and no PCMCIA slot.

WHY?

Shouldn't have the clean install of 2000 taken care of
that? ME did when i installed it the last time. If i
need on for the 2000 install, where can that be found. I
can't find a PCMCIA driver for this on Compaq or
anywhere. I think 2000 would recocognize the slot.

Well after digging really deep, This 1247 IS NOT
compatable with all the things with 2000.

IMAGINE THAT!

Thanks for the help anyway.

Hear the problem.
Have 10 PC running Win2000 Workstation -
They see each other Sharing Directory.
Have 1 Server - Win2000 Advance Server.

Advance Server has:
2 NIC's Cards.
6 Ea. 9.1 GB HD Raid 5
1 gb memory
2 350mhz Pentium CPU
ICS installed - Works ok for the 10 pc
ISS Installed - Works ok for the 10 pc
FTP installed - Works ok for the 10 pc

Have drive E: on server set for sharing - NO PC CAN SEE IT.
NIC's working ok and networking working ok. Because ICS and FTP is
working on the server.

What I am doing:
Classroom at Community College only has 2 IP's for it.
Instructor Station uses 1 Static IP
Room server uses other Static IP - with ICS installed.
15 Computers connect to Server for ICS - This work ok.
Server used for big files so not needed to download or copy's
of CD's (Office 2000 Etc.)
