Hi, I have an IBM ThinkPad running XP Pro SP2 that displays the following
error in device manager for the PCMCIA ports:
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers
required for this device. (Code 31)"
The specific device is "Texas Instruments PCI-4451 CardBus Controller."
Now, I the TechNet articles all say to update the driver. However, per IBM,
there is no updated driver available. The only driver required is the
PCMCIA.sys that is shipped with XP. I have tried reinstalling it, grabbing
the PCMCIA.sys from a working machine, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
