PCMCIA driver problem

I have researched the following problem.
Compaq Presario 700 laptop, In device manager the wireless
adapter (Compex) shows a "unable to start, CODE 10 error.
This is addressed in the following articles KB813707,
KB318213.
XPSP1a does not have the referenced mf.sys file with the
proper date. The article references "download from
location later in this article", which is non existent !
the pcmcia.sys file is also wrong.

Please help me find the proper files or suggest something
else.

These KB articles are relevant to multifunction cards.
Is your wireless Compex adapter multifunction?

Ok. so it is not multifunction (alternative uses such as door stopper, are not "functions" for this
matter ;)
Have you contacted manufacturer of the adapter?
