PCL XL Error Subsystem: KERNEL

While attempting to print to a Novell network print device
(Hp 3330) from a Win2KPro SP4 workstation, the following
message printed:
PCL XL Error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: Illegal Tag
Operator: 0x1b
Position: 8601
This workstation's HDD was recently re-formatted w/Win2K
re-installed and has been misbehaving before and after the
re-install.
