PCI SATA card this fully SATA ?

I mean has it got all the things a Mainboard has for SATA ?

I just want to get a SATA drive and my board don't have any SATA
connectors.

Will i get true 150mbs ? well 80mbs real speed or somthign like that

It'll have everything a built-in PCI SATA controller won't have, but it
won't do the PCI bypass jig that the latest integrated controllers do.

deliver 150 megabytes per second either.

Yeah, it'll give you the same level of performance you'd get from an
integrated controller, let's put it that way.

You will only get 133mbps...as that is the maxium bandwidth of the PCI bus.

You'll get a max of 133MB/s as thats what the PCI bus can do... shared with
any other card on the PCI bus.

However, most integrated SATA controllers are the same unless it's a native
function of the chipset, and even then it's possible.

However, unless you'll be using RAID with Raptors you'd probably never
notice the difference as there aren't going to be that many combinations of
RAID ed drives can sustain transfers of 133MB/s. Even then, you'd want to
be doing some serious large transfers, my (single) Raptor can write at up to
50MB/s - files simply don't take that long to shift.

The Raptor Sata drive is faster than any ATA drive available.

Which has nothing to do with it being a sata drive.

It's an expencive,hot running,high rpm,small drive for specialized uses.
Any drive made as both have the same thoughput either way.
