PCI EXPRESS?

i've been wondering this for a while now so i decided to ask here because
you guys seem to know your stuff pretty well...so, here goes...
how is a pci express graphics card different than a regular pci card? will a
pci express card work in my biostar M7VIZ card, or do i need a new
motherboard? tia...

They are different slots. Also, the bus speed / data rate is as follows:

PCI = 33MHz, 133MB/sec
AGP 1x = 66MHz, 266MB/sec
AGP 2x = 133MHz, 533MB/sec
AGP 4x = 266MHz, 1066MB/sec
AGP 8x = 533MHz, 2133MB/sec
PCI-Express 16x = 1066MHz, 4266MB/sec

The M7VIZ doesn't have a PCI-Express slot.

You need a whole new motherboard. The newest chipsets (or chip) use
PCI express - like on the INTEL side and the new two makers of AMD
chips for motherboards Nvidia (nforce4 series ) and VIA.

If you dont want to upgrade your whole system then theres no point in
getting a PCI express video card obviously. Theres no real performance
gain and theres still lots of AGPs around. In fact ATI will be coming
out with some AGP versions of their hot new boards supposedly soon and
Nvidia already has them and their AGP cards are generally cheaper in
the higher end (6800 series) though I think the prices are close in
the lower end - the 6600 series.

the 6600GT was just the card i have been thinking about upgrading to...at
the moment, i use a 5700ultra...will i notice a huge improvement? tia
