I just tried this program, wishing it would work to clone my hard
drive. It did not work for me. Starts up nice and almost works. It
gets up to the starting to clone hard drive prompt then shows the
percentage of what is being done. The cloning process never gets past
0%. Maybe someday there will be a free program that makes an image of
your hard drive that works. Sorry, but I would not try this program.

Did you close *all* running programs including screensaver and ensure
that nothing was writing to the disk (GoBack? etc) :0)

Fanman Uk.

You don't say what OS you are using, but if it is 98, go to
http://www.xxcopy.com and download a copy of xxcopy...free for personal
use. This will clone your drive in a heartbeat. Even will do most open
files.

Thanks for the reply. First, the program runs by using a start up disk
into dos, nothing is running. Second, I tried XXCopy and it literally
copies all files. I wanted to try PCI CloneMaxx because I thought it
would make an image of my hard drive.

Thanks

Just a thought, but you do have a second drive of equal size or larger
for the image file, right? And empty space for it?

My primary drive is 30 gigs and my secondary drive is 40 gigs. I have
an extra 10 gigs for the image file. This program screwed up my
operating system. I lost my (D) drive and my cd-rom. I had to reformat
and install my operating system and close to 60 programs again. I
would stay away from this one. Just trying to save someone a lot of
aggravation.

Oh boy, alright, will do. Strange, seems either someone was very
clumsy, or very malicious.
