Hi,

I've been trying to install a wireless PCI card on my Vaio laptop.
After installing the drivers and inserting the card, I do not get the
"hardware installation wizard". I've tried reboots, etc and it doesn't
work.

I know the card works as on another laptop it installs fine. Other PCI
cards are not recognised on my laptop.

This could either be a hardware or software problem. Are there:

1. Any specific drivers for Windows XP PCI slots I need to download?
2. Any way of seeing if it is a hardware problem?

Oh - I use XP SP2.

Thanks - alex

Hi alex. Remove the drivers from the machine.
Switch off the machine. Plug in the card.
Restart, and Windows should find new hardware, if the
card is OK.
