Hi,

Ok here is my problem. I run PCAnywhere on machine spread throughout my
company. I have the host to "Launch on Startup".

Users can easily click on the icon in the systray and stop the host from
running. How would I setup a policy that does not allow anyone to stop the
host from running. (This is the only program I can think of that I would
want this to happen).

Please advise.

Do the users have local admin rights, and if so, why? I wouldn't think that
non-admins could stop the listening service.

Yes they have local Admin rights

I use Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition 9.0 and they need it have the
updates installed.

Is there a way I can specifiy a program that the users cannot tamper with?

Hmmm - I have never heard that. The updates are supposed to be pushed from
the server - not initiated by the client.

I'm not sure. But given that you're saying the only reason they need admin
rights is for NAVCE, and I don't believe this is true, I'd look into that
route - there are tons of other potential problems you may experience if
they have more rights than they really should. Sorry I can't give you more
on-topic help...
