Hi all,
when I got the p4c800d last month, the only available ram was 2x256 OCZ
pc3500 el dual channel (slots 1 and 3).
I would like to add another 2 modules in slots 2 and 4, but now I see that
OCZ has pc4000 memory.
Can these 2 different modules co-exist?
Is there a signficant difference between pc3500, pc3700, and pc4000?

Tia!

I found a good read on OCZ pc3500 (433mhz) vs pc3700 (466mhz) vs pc4000
(500mhz).
As I do not overclock, I doubt that I would see a much improved performance
going to pc4000.
I also noticed that they have the gold and platinum series. A marketing
scheme?

When I put this system together last month, this was the most suitable ram I
could match with the p4c800d.

Yes- but they'll run at the same speed as the slowest module (ie pc3500).

Depends- The advantage would be that you could oc your CPU and run at a 1:1
divider with PC4000. But evern in benchmarks there isn't all that big of a
difference between running at 1:1 or 5:4; and I think you will be hard
pressed to notice a change in real world apps (I can't). Add to that the
price of these modules and the steep price increase of RAM over the past 3
months- think money could be spent in better places than that.
