I took out my ram and saw that it was pc3200. I put in pc4200. I ran some
dos ram test and it found no problems. But what should I expect when I use
4200 other than knowing my computer will cut off at 3200 and not utilize the
faster ram? I went from 512mb to 1gig ram so I think that would take more
cpu and perhaps even make the computer a little slower. Any thing else I
should think about?

Going from 512MB to 1GB or RAM should probably make your computer run
faster. It would depend on just what your doing, but generally you can
make use of more than 512MB of RAM. It should certainly not slow the
machine down or make the CP work harder.
