Hello,

I installed my motherboard drivers that were copied from the cd onto my hdd
and since then i havent been able to start my pc without the xp cd in the cd
rom drive or i receive a black screen and a message saying that i need to
insert a boot disk

How can i fix it? I have tried to restore my pc to prior the motherboard
drivers installation but that didnt work and i also simply reinstalled them
as well

I recently changed my m/b and cpu which is why i was installing the new
drivers and it works well other than this problem,so i do not want to
reinstall windows as I a lot of programs installed

Please help

sam

Go in your bios and make sure your hard drive is listed in the boot sequence
e.g.: first boot device CD second floppy drive third HD0 or HD1 depends on
your bios settings if it is HD0 or 1 if you have HD0 then set it to that. Or
you can enable boot other device that works too.
