Helo hardware gurus!
I have that weird problem. I took of the cover off my pc and connected
new floppy drive then I connected the power cord. Once I connect the
power cord, the vent goes "booo" and then shuts off. Please note that I
never touched the power button yet. However when I try and press power
button, nothing happens, even went sits silent. Please advice!

The vent? I'm guessing cpu fan......
Get rid of the floppy or double check the way in which you have connected
the power connector. Damage done by the floppy power connector can be
devastating. If its a 'newer' system the 'power' is flowing even if you
don't turn on the front power switch if its plugged in and the rear
switch(if app) is on.

Most likely you connected the power plug on the floppy drive
the wrong way around and that has killed the power supply.

Try unplugging the floppy drive and see if the system will turn on.

If it wont, replace the power supply.

I disconnected the floppy drive and put all internal connections back
to the initial mode. The problem which complicates it more is that it's
the server machine and has: 3 fans, 3 power supplies and like 24 hard
drives.
Please advice some workaround....
