Hi there

I'm having a problem with mij mother's PC. It won't bootup.
The only thing that seem to work is the CPU fan and the power light on the MB.

The spec's are

Abit SL6-***** MB
Pentium 3 866Mhz
3 X 128 MB Ram PC133 No name
CD rom 48X Philips
Maxtor 40GB ATA
Maxtor 30GB ATA
Geforce 2 GPU
Windows 98 SE

Help is needed for she uses it in the shop.

Thanks Pieter

PSD 99 I don't get any beep's of the speaker.

ME_2001Both hard drive's don't spin up.

I've been trying to get it to work but have not been lukky.

Try unpluggin all you can, and see if you get any luck

Leave the PSU plugged in, but take out the RAM, and all other cables (except the front panel power button)

i dont know if your CPU will have melted to the heatsink. so maybe you dont touch that.

It is weird that you can get the CPU's fan to start. the only thing i can think it may be is the RAM.

as it is not spinning the HD's, well it could be the mobo itself.

I tryed the RAM in an other MB and it booted no prob.

I think the MB is toasted. In that case she wil have to work with an slower PC then.

Thanks for the help.
