I have a little 'snake wire' webcam by Centrios that ive only used a few
times and something isuddenyl has gone wrong.

Its worked fine until the other night when during a webcam conversation the
picture color suddenly went all greenish, like a 'night vision mode' was
turned on. I'm certain no buttons or setting were changed ( never know
though).

The next day I try it again and its near pure black picture and after
retrying twice Its back to the dark green "night vision mode" again and the
picture is a dark silouette.

Any ideas if this is a problem with settings or could the camera be junk ?
Thanks for any input

Try to test it in another pc if the problem still the same then go out
and buy a replacement.

It would be best to try it on another computer to see if it works. If so,
then you would have to buy a new one.

Try a different cable. Try a different PC. If different cables and different
PC shows the same problem, then the camera is broken. Sounds like the camera
breaks down the image into 3 colours - RGB and something is wrong with 1 or
more of the sensors.
