Please help !
I had this problem a year or so ago, but i cannot remember how i solved it.

Since today, my PC has been trying to connect to the internet whenever i
open a folder. I can click cancel, but whenever i click a folder again this
keeps happening.

If i'm already on the net, then it seems OK (because the connection is
already there).

I have XP Professional. Running ZoneAlarm and Vexira Anti Virus (i seem to
remember it might have been something to do with ZoneAlarm, but i cannot
remember what i did).

Please help as this is annoying !

Thanks
Andy

Andy,

If by "connect to the internet" you mean dial up a connection, then
you have a dialer hijack. Antiviruses do not generally detect dialer
hijacks.

Get help for this from SWI Forums. You will first run Spybot S&D then
HijackThis. All the instructions you need are in this article:

Cheers,

Chuck
