hi,
I recently purchased a HDMI/DVI cable so i could watch films on my tv that
were played on pc. The picture is fantastic but the audio is still playing
through pc speakers. I changed the tv audio setting from tv to pc but had no
effect. Any ideas please.
Dom.

You need a MiniJack to red and white composite cable from Line Out on the PC
to the Audio imput on the tv or audio receiver, whichever it is you are
using.

What exactly did you buy as cable? HDMI or DVI?
If you mean your graphics card has a DVI interface
then that only transmits a video signal.
Feeding it via an adapter to a HDMI interface can only
send the video, you have to now also feed the audio signal
from your soundcards outputs to the TV's audio line inputs.

Hello,

Maybe you can give me hint as well. I also purchased a HDMI cable which I am
connecting to the DVI output of the PC via an adapter. The TV has an HDMI
input. The problem is that the TV is giving me the message "no signal". I
checked the monitor set-up without success. I think that the monitor
resolutions need somehow to be synchronised but I do not how. What can I do?
