I use MSN Messenger logged in on both pc's under different names. Seems to work ok if you share an internet connection! Or you could just shout :-)

If all of the computers have Windows XP, you can use the "net send"
command. For details, open a command prompt window and type:

net send /?

An alternative, which can be easier to use because it has a graphical
user interface, is to install RealPopup on each computer. It's free
from <http://www.realpopup.it>.
