I want to move al me documents from one laptop to another
without a network connection. Can I use a
rj45 "crossover" cable to directly connect the two
laptops? And if so, what is the easiest way to do this?

Thanks,
Ray Marks

Yes you can if you don't mind breaking your own rule as this would be
classified as a network connection.
