PC to Mac tabs don't work right

When I take a PowerPoint 2003 file created on a PC and open it on a Mac in
208, the tabs don't line up. When I put the cursor in the text area, the tabs
on the ruler bar shows that they are lined up, but they are staggered. I'm
not sure what else to check.
